1. WHO WE ARE

This Privacy Policy explains how OWVRSZ FZE, trading as OWVRSZ, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit owvrsz.com, place an order, or communicate with us.

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDPL") and its executive regulations.

2. WHAT WE COLLECT

Information you give us directly:

Contact details: name, email address, phone number
Order details: billing address, delivery address, order history, payment confirmation
Account details: username and password, if you create an account
Communications: anything you write to us by email, WhatsApp, or social media message
Reviews and content you choose to post about our products

Information collected automatically:

Device and browser type, operating system, screen size
IP address and approximate location derived from it
Pages viewed, products viewed, items added to cart or wishlist, time spent on the site
How you arrived at our site, including which advertisement or link you clicked

Information from third parties: our payment processors confirm whether a payment succeeded, our advertising partners tell us how our advertisements performed, and our delivery partners tell us the status of your parcel.

We do not collect or store your full card number. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor.

3. WHY WE USE IT

To fulfil your order. Processing payment, arranging delivery, handling returns and exchanges, sending order updates. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
To provide customer service. Answering your questions and resolving problems.
To send you marketing, where you have consented. You can withdraw consent at any time.
To advertise. Showing you and people like you our products on Meta, TikTok and other platforms.
To improve the site. Understanding which products and pages perform well.
To prevent fraud and protect the security of our site and your account.
To meet our legal obligations, including UAE tax, accounting and consumer protection requirements.

4. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell your personal data.

We share it with the following service providers, each of which processes it only for the purpose described:

Shopify - hosts our online store and processes orders and customer accounts
Klaviyo - sends our marketing and transactional emails
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) - advertising and measurement, including through the Meta pixel on our site
TikTok - advertising and measurement
Google Analytics - website traffic analysis
Tabby and Tamara - instalment payment providers. If you choose to pay in instalments, they collect and process your information under their own privacy policies, and we are not a party to that arrangement.
Quiqup - delivery within Dubai and the UAE
iCarry and Aramex - international delivery

Delivery partners receive your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver your parcel. Nothing more.

We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by law, by a court, or by a UAE regulatory authority, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

5. COOKIES AND TRACKING

We use cookies and similar technologies, including pixels from Meta, TikTok and Google, to run the site, remember your cart, and measure and target advertising.

Essential cookies are required for the site and checkout to function. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional. You can manage your preferences through our cookie banner where shown, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from working.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We are based in the United Arab Emirates. Several of our service providers, including Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, TikTok and Google, store and process data outside the UAE, primarily in the United States and the European Union.

Where we transfer personal data outside the UAE, we do so in accordance with the PDPL, either to a country recognised as providing an adequate level of protection or under contractual safeguards with the recipient.

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Order and transaction records: retained for the period required by UAE tax and commercial law, currently five years from the end of the relevant tax period.
Account data: retained while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove it, subject to the retention requirement above.
Marketing data: retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, and deleted shortly afterwards.
Customer service correspondence: retained for up to two years.
Analytics and advertising data: retained according to each provider's retention settings, typically between 14 and 26 months.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

Under the PDPL you have the following rights over your personal data:

Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how we use it.
Correction. Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Deletion. Ask us to delete your personal data, subject to data we are legally required to keep.
Restriction. Ask us to stop or limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
Objection. Object to processing for marketing or automated decision-making.
Portability. Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format, or ask us to transfer it to another provider.
Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@owvrsz.com. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.

To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email from us. There is no charge and we will not treat you differently for opting out.

9. SECURITY

Our site runs over an encrypted connection and payment details are encrypted in transit. Access to customer data is limited to people who need it to do their job.

No system is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the UAE Data Office as required by the PDPL.

10. CHILDREN

Our Services are not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our site links to third-party websites and social platforms. This policy does not cover them. Please read their privacy policies before providing them with your information.

12. COMPLAINTS

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, contact us first at contact@owvrsz.com. We aim to respond within 12 hours.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office. If you live outside the UAE, you may also be able to complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will post the updated version here and change the date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to you by email where we hold your address.

14. LANGUAGE

This policy is published in English and Arabic. In the event of a conflict between the two versions, the Arabic version prevails.
